Rio 2016: A punishing celebration of right and wrong

Reeling in the Years is one of the best ideas for a show RTÉ has ever had. Looking back through all the years of recorded and archived footage can really highlight how have we have come as a nation and also as a planet.

The 2016 edition will be a marathon and slug to get through, and Rio 2016 will dominate it.

The Clone Wars: A Saving Grace for Star Wars

Star_Wars_The_Clone_Wars

Another miserable Irish summer, another TV series on Netflix to splurge on.

To start binging on The Clone Wars made sense to me, because I’m back in. I’ve become an addict to Star Wars once again. It happens in waves, the last one was some time ago, possibly around the release of Revenge of the Sith. That was a whole ten years ago, which freaks me out a little. The one thing that really stood out was Beats 1. It’s a radio station. That seemed like an odd statement. In this age of streaming and listening to what you want whenever you want. You have no control over what is played on radio, that’s the DJ’s job. All you can do to change it is to tune out.

E3image1

Another E3 has come and nearly gone. The week where the gamers of the world, though that’s not seen as a derogatory title to some, come together and say “yeah, we love all these damn worlds”.

Bringing Balance to the Force

rainbow-9-630x332

Ireland has had an awful run of it recently. From State finances going kablammo to the nation realising that our past has many skeletons and dark times, we’ve had very little to be optimistic.

Today, I’m so happy that changed.
